Carmel School CBSE, Kotekar organized a seminar on Effective Study Techniques Towards Academic Excellency for Class IX and X students on 28th March 2025. The session aimed at guiding students towards academic success, personal growth, and career planning. The seminar was conducted by Rev.Fr. Prashanth Walter D'Souza, OFM Capuchin, as the resource person. The programme began with a soulful prayer song led by the students, seeking divine blessings. Tr. Swetha R welcomed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of effective study habits and self-discipline in achieving excellence.

The seminar was divided into three insightful sessions. The first session focused on the fundamental aspects of success, highlighting the importance of respect for teachers, focus on academics, choosing a career, good company, saying no to evils, setting aims and goals, and being a gift to parents by striving for excellence. Fr. Prashanth engaged students with real-life examples and practical insights. The second session emphasized time management, practical strategies for exams, handling exam pressure, and planning & execution to help students prepare efficiently for academic challenges. The third session addressed growth and maturity, teen challenges, building self-belief, and discovering talents, encouraging students to recognize their potential and overcome obstacles.

The seminar concluded with a Smart Goal Setting activity, where students actively participated in group games, team dynamics, fun activities, and teamwork exercises, making learning an interactive and enjoyable experience. Tr. Dhanyatha proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Fr. Prashanth Walter D'Souza for his valuable insights, the Principal for her constant support, and the organizing team for their efforts. The entire programme was skillfully compered by Tr. Vanisha, ensuring a seamless flow of events. The seminar proved to be a transformative experience, equipping students with essential study techniques, time management skills, and personal growth strategies, paving the way for their academic excellence and holistic development.
