July 24, 2024 : On the occasion of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Day, our school organized a series of engaging activities to promote foundational skills in literacy and numeracy among our students. The day was filled with interactive sessions, creative learning methods, and enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers.
Our little learners from Lower Kindergarten (LKG) participated in a delightful moral storytelling session. Through captivating stories, they learned valuable life lessons, developed their listening skills.
The Upper Kindergarten (UKG) students embarked on an exciting journey to explore numbers using the playway method. Instead of traditional rote learning, they engaged in hands-on activities and games. The playway approach made learning enjoyable and memorable for our young learners.
In an enchanting performance, Grade 2 students brought a Hindi story about birds life. They donned colourful costumes, recited dialogues, and acted out the characters with enthusiasm. The story emphasized themes of friendship, courage, and environmental awareness.
Grade 1 and Grade 2 students delved into the world of mathematics using the playway method. Instead of relying solely on textbooks, they explored mathematical concepts through games, visual aids, and interactive activities. Teachers Ms. Jyothi, Ms. Sumitha, and Ms. Prafulla facilitated engaging sessions where students learned addition, subtraction, comparing numbers, and shapes in a fun and practical manner. The playway approach ensured that learning was both effective and enjoyable.
Overall, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Day was a resounding success, fostering a love for learning and building strong foundational skills among our students. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated teachers who made these activities possible.
